Liverpool‘s Premier League match against Fulham at Craven Cottage has been delayed because of a medical emergency.
The two teams were due to kick off at 3pm on Sunday along with three other Premier League games, but a medical emergency at the ground saw the match start at 3.15pm instead.
The delay was confirmed by the Premier League Match Centre minutes before the two teams were initially scheduled to kick off.
An announcement posted on social media platform X at 2.52pm read: ‘Due to a medical incident in the crowd at Craven Cottage, kick-off for today’s match between Fulham and Liverpool has been delayed until 3:15pm.’
Shortly after the delayed was confirmed, a Sky Sports reporter said: ‘A medical emergency here involving medical staff. They’ve had to allow an ambulance into the ground.
‘The road is closed to traffic before the match. They’ve had to reopen the road. For now all the players are back inside the dressing room.’

The visitors emerged first in their kit to warm up ahead of the the delayed kick-off, performing a series of passing drills balls in the freezing conditions at Fulham.
Both the Cottagers and Liverpool headed into Sunday’s clash in strong form, with the two sides on a run of four and seven games without defeat respectively.
Arne Slot was forced to leave £85million summer signing Hugo Ekitike out of his squad against Fulham due to fitness concerns, with Alexander Isak already sidelined through injury.
Providing an update on Ekitike’s absence ahead of the delayed kick-off, Slot said: ‘Hugo picked up a slight hamstring injury because we had to play him more and more minutes.
‘Hopefully he will be back for the Arsenal game.’
