England manager Thomas Tuchel is set to extend his contract beyond this year’s World Cup and lead the Three Lions into a home Euros.
The German’s deal had been due to expire after the tournament in the US in the summer but he is relishing the prospect of a longer stay.
Tuchel had been considered among the big names in the frame to take over at Manchester United when the club decide on a successor to interim boss Michael Carrick.
So news of his plan to prolong his stay with the national team will come as a blow to the Premier League side.
