This gameweek’s action begins on Saturday afternoon with Fulham making the short journey across to their west London rivals Brentford for the 12.30pm kick-off. Our first game though is the Saturday 3pm kick-off when Leeds host Wolves at Elland Road.

Saturday’s action continues with Newcastle taking on Bournemouth in the only other game in the black-out, before Tottenham host Brighton at 5.30pm. Saturday is set to end with a bang as Michael Carrick‘s Manchester United side takes on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge at 8pm.

On Sunday, Aston Villa continue their fight for Champions League football next season when they face Sunderland at 2pm at Villa Park. At the same time Everton’s flashy new Hill Dickinson Stadium will host the Merseyside derby for the first ever time. And to round off an excellent weekend of football, Manchester City take on Arsenal at Etihad Stadium, with many believing this could be the title-decider.

Daily Mail Sport’s expert this week is JACK GAUGHAN. Here is his verdict on the weekend games…

This feels like an incredibly difficult week to be predicting games, so thanks very much for that.

Not a single one of these picks – even Brighton winning at beleaguered Tottenham – resembles an absolute banker. Has Roberto De Zerbi managed to unearth something in training over the past few days? We don’t know so it’ll have to be Brighton, even if temptation lends itself to Spurs.

The Merseyside derby. Everton actually not particularly brilliant at home but then Liverpool have won just two of their last seven away Premier League games. Hedging a draw, here.

Manchester City should beat Arsenal, really, given their respective form and general morale, whereas Aston Villa have come out of the other side of a difficult patch and will fancy winning against Sunderland – even if the Black Cats don’t ship too many goals and have won back-to-back games.

Chelsea hosting Manchester United could honestly be anything and it will be interesting to see if there’s any reaction to Monday’s defeat by Michael Carrick’s side. A fence sitting draw.

Leeds will surely use the Elland Road crowd and feelgood factor from Old Trafford to go at Wolves and this is the closest to a certain home win as I’ve managed with the predictions. The response of news around Andoni Iraola’s departure could go either way for Bournemouth but it’s probably safer to say Newcastle win that one.
