Ex-Premier League star’s son taken off on a stretcher after nasty clash of heads in his first start for Chelsea – as match is delayed for over TEN minutes

Chelsea‘s miserable first-half outing against Nottingham Forest was soured even further by a worrying injury to one of their teenage talents just before half-time.

The Blues were trailing 2-0 at the interval to a second-string Nottingham Forest, who are focusing on Thursday’s Europa League semi-final second leg with Aston Villa, courtesy of an Taiwo Awoniyi goal and an Igor Jesus penalty.

Pushing to halve their deficit though came at a cost for Chelsea when Jesse Derry suffered a head injury that saw him leave the field on a stretcher.
