Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement with Newcastle United to sign Italian midfielder Sandro Tonali.
A deal between the two clubs worth £92.5million is understood to be at the final stages, with add-ons centred around Champions League qualification taking the fee up to £100m.
Spurs had initially had an offer worth £75m rebuffed by the Magpies before returning with a second bid of £90m.
But Newcastle were thought to have been holding out for a package worth £100m – and now Spurs have agreed to up their offer to that sum.
