Erling Haaland has given fans a taste of his Cheshire mansion lifestyle – and it might hold the key to his unstoppable form.
It turns out the Manchester City star is absolutely obsessed with cooking and optimising his body, and his home is built around enhancing those pursuits.
The forward star shares a sprawling six-bed paradise with his wife Isabel Haugseng Johansen and their baby boy, who was born in December.
And the most eye-catching feature is a decadent, airy kitchen with a huge island where Haaland prepares and eats the meals which help him to devour his opponents.
Haaland has opened the doors to his multi-million-pound countryside residence in a video marking the launch of his new YouTube channel today.
And lots of the activity around the home, from dawn until dusk, centres on the kitchen where he and Isabel concoct their culinary masterpieces. It’s certainly an upgrade on the rented city centre apartment which previously contained them.

‘I love food. I live to eat food. No matter what happens in the day, this is the best moment,’ he says, and you believe him.
His kitchen is a dream, kitted out, by the looks of it, with at least four ovens, a marble-topped island, extensive white-panelled food storage spaces, house plants, and a selection of high-end wooden chopping boards.
And that’s not to mention the gigantic Steiff teddy bear positioned in the corner, who stands as a friendly, or slightly unnerving, sentry in the corner.
Haaland’s home is also decked out with a spacious gym, where he welcomes first-team sport therapist Mario Pafundi to work on his flexibility.
This is the nerve centre of his physical preparation. Pafundi reveals how Haaland’s muscular flexibility has improved dramatically since his arrival in 2022, with his legs able to stretch out to previously inaccessible angles.
At one point the 25-year-old grimaces in pain. ‘Treatment for top athletes is not enjoyable,’ Pafundi insists. It’s not a spa massage.’
But the duo share a banterous relationship. They share plenty of jokes and clearly enjoy the time they spend together. Haaland also reveals a ball celebrating City’s 2023 Champions League final… and uses it as a headrest during his physio session.
So far, his home might seem a bit… regular? At least for the rich. Plenty of folk have kitchens and, with some wealth, a gym isn’t unheard of. So what makes Haaland different?
He also has an ice bath and sauna outside the six-bed property in the north’s ‘Footballer Belt’

This is where he steps it up a notch. What you don’t expect to find in many homes is a red light therapy centre – but that’s exactly what Haaland has.
In short, the treatment use low-level red to near-infrared light to encourage cellular repair, reduce inflammation, and enhance one’s skin.
‘From the sun we get a lot of red light,’ Haaland says.
‘We don’t get sun outside now, so I need to have this to get a bit of red light on my back and on my body.’
Not that Haaland is fussy about the weather. Far from it. In fact, the Norwegian says he likes the Mancunian weather and that it is better than back home in Bryne.
Don’t be surprised, then, if you see Haaland out in the garden in the pouring rain. Here he keeps a huge barbecue, which he uses rain or shine. Here he cooks his favourite steaks, the fatty ones: ribeye, tomahawk, shortrib.
The striker also keeps an ice bath and a sauna in the garden, which he aims to use four or five times a week.
They’re exactly the sort of feature you don’t get in a city centre flat.

The duo have been together since their days in Norway and had their first baby last year
Haaland was reportedly spotted viewing homes with his long-term partner Isabel Haugseng Johansen, 20, in October last year. Fortunately, they found their ideal place, perfect for family and performance.
Isabel, who is a footballer herself and also works part-time at a fashion store, is believed to have met Haaland at the youth academy at Bryne, who they both played for.
Their six-bed mansion near Alderley Edge is an estimated 30 minutes from Manchester city centre, and has been a renowned location for Man United and City players over the years.
Some notable names include Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham, Rio Ferdinand, Eric Cantona, and Dwight Yorke.
Alderly Edge is part of what is known as the ‘Golden Triangle’, also referred to as the ‘Footballer Belt’ – an area of affluent small towns and villages in Cheshire.
The triangle, spanning around five miles at its furthest point, includes the area within Alderley Edge, Prestbury and Wilmslow.
Five of the ten most expensive roads in North West England are located in this area, which also houses wealthy businesspeople and entertainment industry figures.
Liverpool players Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk are believed to also live in the triangle, as it is a manageable 50-minute drive from the Reds’ training ground in Kirkby.
