Robert Lewandowski’s wife puts top European clubs on high alert as she drops huge bombshell over Barcelona star’s future

Robert Lewandowski is likely to leave Barcelona at the end of the season, according to his wife.

The 37-year-old’s contract expires in June and Spanish outlet Sport reported a few months ago that Barca were unlikely to renew it.

Lewandowski has been a free-scoring sensation for Barcelona since joining from Bayern Munich in 2022, notching 113 goals in 173 games.

Now his personal trainer wife Anna Lewandowska, who he met in 2008 and with whom he has two daughters, says

‘We’ll see how the season goes in Barcelona this year because, let’s say, it will probably be my husband’s last season here,’ she told Polish outlet Plejada, via Marca.

‘So we squeezed it like a lemon. We enjoyed every moment, every game with the fans because we know that one day we won’t have any of this.

‘What’s next? We don’t know, but that’s the path of a great athlete and especially a great sportsman, and we’re ready for it.’

She added to Twoj Styl: ‘I told Robert: “I’m inviting you on a date, for dinner, so we can finally talk calmly.

‘He asked if we would talk about me on the date, because we talk about different things every day. I told him yes. For 20 years, everything has revolved around football. Recently, I’ve felt that I, too, need the attention of my loved ones.’

The couple married in 2013 and have two daughters: Klara, eight, and Laura, five.

Anna’s comments will put top clubs around Europe on red alert because Lewandowski is still scoring at a prolific rate.

He has slowed down this season, hitting 12 in 25 games, but it is still a highly respectable record which has helped fire Barcelona to the top of LaLiga, a Spanish Super Cup title, and the last 16 of the Champions League.
