Fulham, Rangers and Celtic are among a lengthy list of admirers following Huddersfield’s young winger Cameron Ashia.
The 21-year-old was awarded the club’s academy player of the year after a break-out season that saw him make 31 appearances, predominantly from the bench, and score six goals.
Huddersfield have taken up an option to extend his contract by a further year but his displays have caught the eye of scouts from the UK and Germany.
Fulham, Rangers and Celtic are among those to have made initial enquiries but Stuttgart, Hoffenheim, Burnley, Ipswich, Southampton, Sheffield United and Cardiff have all registered their interest too.
Despite his option for a further year being extended, Ashia could be available for as little as £500,000.
Ashia, who joined the club in 2024, made his league debut last August and scored in a 2-0 win over Reading.
Cameron Ashia has scored twice in five appearances in League One for Huddersfield this season
He is the nephew of Nottingham Forest’s Callum Hudson-Odoi and has been compared to Manchester City’s Jeremy Doku owing to his style and blistering pace.
Ashia has made himself a fans favourite at Huddersfield and they would be loath to lose him owing to the impact he has made over the past campaign but that may prove difficult as interest in him gathers momentum.
