Man City FINALLY agree British record £130m fee for Elliot Anderson – with England star set to complete move from Nottingham Forest during World Cup journey with Three Lions

Manchester City have agreed a British record deal with Nottingham Forest for Elliot Anderson.

The England midfielder is currently in the United States at the World Cup and a medical will now be arranged. He is currently nursing a slight glute concern but it is not thought to be serious.

City’s offer, with an initial £106m agreed last week, will surpass with add-ons the £125m that Liverpool paid Newcastle for Alexander Isak last summer. It will be close to £130m.

England boss Thomas Tuchel has already said he would facilitate summer transfers of players in his squad, and arrangements for Anderson will now be made. Personal terms will not be an issue.

Elliot Anderson is in the thick of the World Cup with England but is set to play his football at Manchester City next season
